Glades County Recent Arrest Sources
The Glades County Sheriff's Office runs the Glades County Jail, which some public material calls the Glades County Detention Center. Its SmartWEB system is the main official source for a fresh county booking. At the top sits a panel marked "BOOKED Last 24 Hours." Search fields below it go further, letting you query by name, booking date, or release date. Open a card and you may find a photo, booking identifiers, custody status, and bond details. The arrest itself may have come from the sheriff, Florida Highway Patrol, the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, or another agency; jail placement alone does not tell you who made the arrest.
Read the card carefully. Match the booking number and time before treating two similar names as one person, because entries can change when custody or bond data changes. Not every result carries every field or photo, either. And if a new arrest is missing, intake may still be underway or the public data may not have posted yet. The official SmartWEB jail search shows the roster form and the same-day panel.

The SmartWEB jail page marks the official starting point without republishing a shifting list of names or booking photos.
| Window | Official route | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Same day | SmartWEB last 24 hours | Recently processed public cards |
| Several days | Booking-date search | Date-range results; no official blotter was found |
| After release | Release dates, then records | Released entries within indexing limits |
| Case outcome | Clerk and Civitek | Filings, hearings, and disposition |

When Glades Arrests Post
The sheriff posts no fixed refresh schedule for SmartWEB. There is no weekend rule and no intake-to-web deadline. The official process comes first. Staff inventory property, complete medical screening, and process the booking before classification. None of that tells you when the public card or photo shows up. The "last 24 hours" label marks a booking-time window. It does not promise every street arrest appears within 24 clock hours.
One rule does carry a clock. A person who cannot post bond goes before a judge within the first 24 hours. That hearing happens in person or by video. It is separate from web timing. Need a time-sensitive check? Search again with fewer name fields, widen the booking-date window, and call 863-946-1600. An empty result proves nothing about whether an arrest happened. The sheriff's booking-process page documents intake and first appearance.

The source clarifies why intake, court, and public posting can follow different clocks.
Search the Glades Arrest Roster
SmartWEB needs at least one search criterion, so begin with the least detail that still narrows the field. A surname alone may be enough. When results run broad, add a first or middle name. Spelling unclear but the intake window known? Use booking dates instead. Release-date fields matter once someone has left current custody, and the search type and sort controls keep results tidy.
| Field | Use | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Find a known person | Try fewer fields if spelling varies |
| Booking dates | Find intake near a date | Broader than the current panel |
| Release dates | Locate a released booking | Coverage is not promised forever |
| Sort controls | Arrange results | Do not alter source data |
- Open SmartWEB and review the changing same-day panel.
- Enter one reliable name or date criterion.
- Compare booking number, time, agency, and status.
- Read bond and release details as current fields.
- Request a copy when the web view is unclear.
A card can carry plenty. Name, sex, race, birth date, and age at booking all appear. So can "In Jail" and visitation status, booking and MNI numbers, booking time, bond, cash-only status, the address given, and an image control. Fields vary. The booking number is the best thread tying a card to a records request. MNI is an internal person identifier, not a court case number.
Glades Arrest Photos and Records
SmartWEB is the official interface where a Glades County booking photo may appear. The image marks intake and nothing more. It does not speak to the charge. The system promises no photo for every booking, and a blank image area does not mean none exists. An image may be delayed, withheld, unavailable, or restricted. When the card leaves the question open, ask Records for the photograph by booking number and date.
Other photos answer different questions. Florida Department of Corrections may show an offender photo for someone sentenced to state prison or under state supervision. That display is not the county roster. News outlets sometimes reuse sheriff images in selected stories. Still, news coverage is not a full arrest list. Unofficial pages may hold copied photos long after the official display changes. Those copies can be stale, incomplete, or mismatched.
What if the roster has no photo? Confirm the booking identifiers first. Then ask Records whether an image is available and what copy fee applies. Never pass off a state or news image as the current booking photo.
Where Glades Arrests Get Published
Each channel answers a different stage, so pick the right one first. SmartWEB handles county booking and custody. The clerk of court shows what happened in court. FDC covers state prison and supervision. VINE sends participating custody notifications. A missing result only means something once you have chosen the correct system.
| Channel | Photos | Status |
|---|---|---|
| GCSO SmartWEB | May display | Official booking and custody |
| Sheriff Records | Request if available | Official copies |
| Clerk / Civitek | Not a roster | Official case outcome |
| FDC search | May display | Official state custody |
| Local newspaper archive | Sometimes | Selective journalism |
| Commercial indexes | Often copied | Unofficial and possibly stale |
A handful of third-party sites publish Glades booking material. Florida.Arrests.org, Mugshots.com, Busted Newspaper, Muglist, and JailRosters all show up, alongside RecentlyBooked. Mugshots.zone lists no Glades section at all. None of these sites keeps the actual record. Each follows its own display rules and correction habits, so treat them as recognition tools only. The sheriff, the clerk, and SmartWEB stay ahead of them every time.
Lake Okeechobee News prints a running "Glades County Arrest Report" column with agency names and charge context. The paper is selective, not a full arrest feed. The sheriff's app handles official news, tips, and communication, though its store listings promise no roster or booking photo feature. SmartWEB remains the booking source.
Moore Haven Recent Arrests
Moore Haven is the county seat and the lone incorporated city in the Glades Census place table. The city runs no separate arrest log or police roster of its own. Every booking runs through the sheriff. A Glades County Jail stay can start with a city arrest, but another agency may have made it. Read the agency field before assuming.
The Moore Haven Recent Arrests page maps the local route. City-held records follow the city process. Booking records and photos stay with the sheriff.
Glades County Arrest Record Fields
A booking record is created the moment a person enters custody. It is not the same thing as an incident report. Nor is it an arrest affidavit or a court docket. SmartWEB shows only a public slice. The sheriff may hold more material behind exemptions. Name the exact documents you want. A broad request can take longer. It may also drag in restricted material.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name and numbers | Identity recorded at intake, booking number, and sometimes MNI |
| Booking time | Jail intake, not necessarily arrest time |
| Status | Public custody state when viewed |
| Charge | Intake charge, not disposition |
| Bond | Recorded release condition, subject to change |
| Photo | Intake image when public |
- Booking
- Intake recording identity, property, health screening, charges, and custody.
- Bond
- A court-set condition that may permit release while the case continues.
- Arraignment
- A court event where an charge is formally addressed.
- Disposition
- The outcome, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or conviction.
- Expungement
- A court process restricting ordinary public access when requirements are met.
Glades Arrest Fee Versus Bond
Non-federal inmates pay a $25 booking fee at intake, per the sheriff. That fee is not bond. Bond is a court-set release condition. It shows up on SmartWEB and can change at any time. The booking page outlines a refund route for the intake fee after a dismissal or not-guilty result. Court documents must be supplied first.
Defendants who do not bond get a first appearance within 24 hours. The appearance happens in person or by video. The judge advises them of charges and bond there. SmartWEB gives no bond-out timing, so confirm release in the roster or with the jail. A posted bond amount is not proof anyone walked out.
Request a Glades Arrest Record
The sheriff's Records Department takes requests in person or by mail. Walk-in copies may be furnished on the spot. That holds when no investigation is open. Active cases delay release. Mail requests need a stamped return envelope. Ordinary mailed documents can return within five business days, with that caveat attached.
- Identify the full name, date, and booking number if known.
- Name the booking card, photo, affidavit, probable-cause material, or release record.
- Mail GCSO, Attn: Records Department, P.O. Box 39, Moore Haven, FL 33471, or follow in-person instructions.
- Ask which fee applies and the legal basis for redaction.
- Use the clerk for the later court disposition.
Copies run $1 per page and $1.50 for two-sided pages. CDs and DVDs cost $7 apiece. A local records check is $2, and crash reports run $10 with a ten-report limit per transaction. No photo price is posted. Ask whether an image counts as a copy, digital media, or another category.
The official Records Department page carries the current procedures.

The sheriff's Records page posts the fee and processing terms, including no separate booking photo charge.
Florida Arrest Photo Law
Florida Statutes §§119.01 and 119.07 grant broad inspection and copying rights. Room remains for exemptions and redaction. A custodian should acknowledge a request promptly. Ask, and the custodian should name the statute behind any withheld material. Juvenile files, victim details, sealed or expunged records, and investigative material may all be restricted.
Florida Statutes §901.43 governs businesses that publish booking photographs. Payment for removal is barred. The person pictured, or a legal representative, may send a registered-mail request. Identity proof and enough detail to pinpoint the image should be included. The publisher must pull it within ten calendar days. It may not be republished afterward. The statute does not erase public records on its own.
Unofficial services covering Glades each write their own free-removal rules. Some weigh mistaken identity, errors, duplicates, juvenile records, dismissal, acquittal, sealing, or expungement. Documents must back the claim. One network offers only an advertising opt-out, which leaves the record itself intact. Never pay to remove a booking image. Never mistake deleting one copy for correcting the sheriff or court record.
Older Glades Arrest Records
FDLE sealing and expungement starts with a Certificate of Eligibility. The application wants arrest details plus supporting documents. The fee is a nonrefundable $75, and complete applications typically process in about 12 weeks with no expedited lane. Eligibility is never automatic. A certificate is not a court order.
Florida's GS2 schedule sets minimum retention for agencies, not website guarantees. Booking records, incarceration records, and 24-hour commitment and release lists stay on file at least one anniversary year past release. Jail docket books are permanent. Agencies can keep material longer. A SmartWEB card can vanish while the record stays requestable, and a permanent docket does not keep its photo online.
For an old arrest, search SmartWEB by date, then ask sheriff records, then check the clerk for the outcome. The Florida Digital Newspaper Library fills in historical reporting. News archives are not a jail archive. When a source drops or changes a page, Google and Bing stale-result tools can refresh cached copies. They cannot touch a live source.
Juvenile Arrest Records Stay Restricted
Juvenile files are off limits in Glades County. The Clerk treats them as confidential. Only authorized people, showing proper identification in person, may see them. Nothing goes out over the phone. Adult records that get sealed or expunged can drop from public view too, yet they stay open to agencies the law permits. Avoid filling a missing juvenile entry with guesses pulled from an unofficial site or an adult roster.
Glades Arrest Warrants and Wanted List
Glades County publishes no confirmed public active-warrant search. For warrant status, the sheriff's FAQ points to Records at 863-946-1600, extension 2138. Civitek can surface a related case, but it is not a warrant index. Anyone who thinks a warrant carries their name should ask an attorney or the court for instructions. Send tips to law enforcement. Never approach a wanted person yourself. In an emergency, call 911.
The Most Wanted page sits apart from recent arrests. Ten entries appear on it. Their listed dates run from 2007 through 2017. There is no stated refresh schedule, and no clear reward program is described, so treat the page as official context rather than a fresh daily list. The official Most Wanted page carries the sheriff's list.

After a Glades County Arrest
An arrest is only the first step in Glades County. The jail record opens the file. The court closes it. Circuit Court takes felony cases, while County Court handles misdemeanors and criminal traffic. The official Civitek search tracks each filing. It covers first appearance through motions, pleas, sentencing, and later orders. Charges can also be amended, dropped, dismissed, or resolved by plea.
Copies from the clerk cost $1 per page. A name or case search runs $2, and certification adds another $2. Mailed felony requests generally take 7 to 10 business days. The felony and misdemeanor desks use different suite numbers at 500 Avenue J. Call 863-946-6010 before mailing anything. The office keeps weekday hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Glades Arrest Custody Handoffs
The Glades County jail averaged 32 inmates per day in June 2025. That figure is not today's count. It is not an arrest total either. It simply gives scale, and it helps explain why a short same-day panel can differ from an unofficial count. One person can also leave SmartWEB quickly, moving to court, state custody, or a federal system.
FDC's search covers felony offenders in state prison or under state supervision. It accepts names, aliases, or a six-character DC number. Updates run weekly, aside from nightly release and location changes. Photos sometimes appear. A county-only detainee may simply be missing from it.
BOP's locator reaches federal inmates back to 1982, though it shows text fields rather than public photos. ICE searches need an exact identity or an A-number. A 2025 agreement allows ICE detainees at the Glades County Jail, so a location there does not prove county criminal custody. Florida VINE cannot be assumed to cover ICE holds. For county-jail and state alerts where available, VINE Arrest Check reports custody status and sends notifications, though it is not a charge sheet or booking photo.
